Frequently asked questions

The video won't play — what's wrong?

Playback issues are almost always caused by (a) an ad-blocker or privacy extension blocking YouTube's iframe player, or (b) YouTube itself blocking the embed for that specific video. Try disabling ad-blockers for our site, or tap "Watch on YouTube" to open the video in the YouTube app.

Is every film free to watch?

Yes. Everything in the archive is free — no subscription, no rental, no unlockable premium tier. Films are either in the public domain or streamed via YouTube's official embed player with rights-holder permission.

Do you have [specific film / show]?

Send us a request via the form above. We continually add new titles to the archive when we can verify their public-domain status. Titles still under copyright cannot be added.

Is the mobile app safe to install?

Yes. Our iOS and Android apps go through Apple's App Store Review and Google Play Protect. They don't collect personal data beyond anonymous analytics (see our Privacy Policy). No login is required.

Why don't I see the same films in the app as on the website?

The mobile app is intentionally limited to films we can verifiably distribute — public-domain titles and our own original programming. Some content on our YouTube channel is available for embedding on the website but excluded from the app for rights compliance.

I found a broken link or wrong information.

Please let us know via the form above. Include the page URL and, if you can, a screenshot. We fix reported issues quickly.

How do I request a film be added or removed?

Use the contact form. If you're a rights holder requesting takedown of a specific title, include: the video URL (or title), your relationship to the work, and any documentation you have. We honor legitimate takedown requests promptly.

Do you have a newsletter?

Yes — sign up on the homepage. We send occasional updates when new titles are added. No spam, no sharing your address.
